Raising Hector

I always love work that makes me take several quick glances to start to make an opinion and then a good 5-10 minute step back and let all the emotion and vision that the artist was trying to convey come through - and this work is no exception!

I love the modelling and detail that has gone into the clothing of the two characters and in particular, the suit jacket is exceptional. I would have like to have seen some connectivity with each character to each other but that is a personal preference.

I'm not sure if the artist started with this end result in mind as it feels at times that it is built through a 'what shall I put in now' and in certain areas the drawing style is not consistent and the detail drops but again, this could be part of the intent.

Well done, it asks many questions and with this style of works leaves many answers to the imagination.
